Street Pastors

 Street Pastors

Street Pastors is a national, interdenominational church response to the local neighbourhood; engaging people on the streets and in night time venues to care, to listen and to offer practical help.

It is not about preaching to people or some sort of evangelistic strategy but simply a practical way of demonstrating the love of God to the community.

It started in 2003 in London and is now in over a hundred towns and cities throughout the UK. It is supported by the Government's Home Office and works with the police and local councils.

Street Pastors is in operation in Melton Mowbray, run and supported by Churches Together in Melton Mowbray working alongside Leicestershire Police and Melton Mowbray Borough Council.
